GOLDEN GIFT IS BACK!
Program Overview
Since we created Ukrop’s Golden Gift program in 1987, we have distributed
$12 million to local non-profit organizations. Based on both customer and
non-profit feedback, we launched the program this year by combining only the
best aspects of previous programs. It is easier than ever to participate and
earn funds.
Ukrop’s 2009 Golden Gift program donation will be $200,000! Golden Gift is a
truly unique giving program because donations are made completely at the
direction of Ukrop’s Valued Customers.
It’s one of the many ways we honor our pledge to give back at least 10% of
our pre-tax profits to the communities we serve.

B.E.T.H.E.L. / Fresh Start For
Single Mothers and
Their Children Project
is one of this year recipients!
MARCH 27 & 28TH 2009
The students of Deep Run HS in Glen Allen Virginia are organizing and participating in their third Marathon Dance which will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 27 & 28 in the Deep Run gym.
This is an opportunity for students to raise money for local charities, organizations, or individuals with need in our community.
B.E.T.H.E.L. / Fresh Start For Single Mothers
& Their Children Project is one of this year recipients!
The dance will be planned and organized by a group of student volunteers whose first task is to select this year’s recipient. The students have decided to raise money this year for several local organizations.
The students will begin collecting donations in February and March. Each student must bring in a minimum of $100 in order to participate in the dance. In addition to the monies collected by the students, area businesses and community members may also make donations. We will also be looking for many businesses to donate items that can be given as prizes throughout the dance.
The dance is a 27 hour marathon which will begin at 7:00pm on Friday evening and run until 10:00pm Saturday night. Throughout these hours students will participate in 4 different costume parties, games, lip-sync contests and many hours of good clean dancing.
The students are very excited about taking this opportunity to make a positive impact on many members of our community.
However, in order to make this a successful event we will need the support and help members of the community. Please spread the word and remember that the purpose of this event is for the students to help people in need within their community.
Sincerely, Student Marathon Dance Committee
